Richard Gosnold is a photographic artist, based in Northern Ireland. He graduated from Ulster University with an MFA in photography, in 2016.
Inspired by personal experience, his recent photographic works examine the complexities of the human psyche. He is particularly interested in the psychology of perception and this draws him to the question of contextuality within photography. Gosnold has made work, which has covered themes such as: belonging, isolation, vulnerability, and transience.
Richard’s practice explores the ephemeral nature of perception and reality, as experienced through absence, memory and consciousness.
