About the Artist
Although a photographer for over a decade Iris O’Connor only recently decided to go down the academic route and now holds a BA (Hons) degree in Photography from IADT. Her work has been purchased by private collectors as well as the Office of Public Works for the State Art Collection. Originally from Germany, Ireland has been her home for the last 30 years. In recent years the city of Dublin and its architecture has begun to greatly influence her photographic practice which now centres on photographing urban and suburban landscapes as well as documenting and archiving the changing city.
