Sarah works in a range of media including glass, ceramics and printmaking. She went on to Crawford College of Art and Design, completing her degree in Contemporary Applied Art. Her work draws on childhood secrets and hidden darkness. Themes of abandonment and the hidden are present in her work but exist alongside notions of resilience and growth.
Her work has been bought by the OPW, Blackrock Castle Observatory, and private collections. Awards include Future Makers Awards in 2017 and 2018, residencies with the National Sculpture Factory and Cork Printmakers. She was long-listed for the RDS Visual Arts Awards in 2017, and shortlisted for the RDS Craft Awards in 2018.
